Santa Barbara Museum of Art

As one of the leading art museums on the West Coast, the Santa Barbara Museum of Art serves a diverse audience of approximately 150,000 people annually. The Museum offers a wide variety of educational and interpretive programs to this broad audience. Our 75-member Docent Council provides over 800 gallery tours and slide talks annually. Waterhouse Gallery

Waterhouse Gallery was established in 1984 by Ralph & Diane Waterhouse. In 1991 the Gallery moved to its present location at the corner of State Street and Figueroa in La Arcada, a beautiful Courtyard in the heart of Santa Barbara’s Cultural District. Waterhouse Gallery is close to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, the historic Courthouse and is surrounded by first class restaurants with good parking in nearby City Lots.The Gallery represents some of the finest painters from the Western States, whose work is nationally known and many are members of the California Art Club and Oil Painters of America. Sullivan Gross- An American Gallery

Sullivan Goss – An American Gallery has represented the work of American artists for 25 years. The contributions of these artists, from the 19th century to today, can be found in our two galleries in downtown Santa Barbara, California. With an inventory of over 3,000 works, including paintings, watercolors, drawings, prints and sculptures, Sullivan Goss is the primary West Coast gallery positioned to help build private and public collections of important American art. The gallery is constantly seeking to acquire works by significant American painters and sculptors who worked between 1850 and 1950 including those artists referred to as luminists, impressionists, expressionists and modernists. Our Santa Barbara location offers approximately twenty exhibitions each year, including solo shows for contemporary artists and curated historical exhibitions. The gallery, through its research efforts, is also involved with scholarship and research for American artists.

Gallery 113

Located at 1114 State Street in picturesque La Arcada court, Gallery 113 offers only original work. The Gallery represents the artists of the Santa Barbara Art Association as well as hosting exhibitions open to all artists of our varied artistic community. On view are paintings, drawings, collage and etchings, as well as sculpture, ceramics, and jewelry. Some photo-mechanical processes are also exhibited. This rich variety of media and style reflects our diverse family of artists. Exhibits change monthly with the exhibiting artists carrying on in the cooperative spirit by working sales shifts and assuming other duties necessary to operate the gallery. Gallery 113 is the business office and information center for the Santa Barbara Art Association. It is open seven days a week, excluding major holidays.
